Cubyn project, France

Cubyn operates its own warehousing and distribution center in Paris, France, providing one-stop services such as warehousing and delivery for e-commerce sellers. Guangjia Automation undertakes the implementation of Cubyn in France and follows the installation.

France is the second largest e-commerce market in continental Europe, and the competition in the logistics and warehousing market is mainly between platform logistics and third-party logistics, of which platform logistics is represented by Amazon, and Cubyn belongs to the third-party logistics camp. As a technology logistics platform, Cubyn leverages its technical capabilities to optimize logistics processes such as warehouse operations and parcel transportation based on local conditions. In 2022, facing the French market with a total population of 60 million, Cubyn completed 2.7 million logistics orders.

Specifically, for parcel transportation, Cubyn selects the best carrier for the shipment based on the self-developed CarrierPredict algorithm based on variables such as package destination, weight, and historical carrier performance. At the same time, Cubyn also regularly updates and announces the completion of logistics KPIs such as delivery rate on its official website.

For warehouse management, Cubyn chose the self-operation mode, with the internal team carrying out the whole operation and maintenance of the warehouse, which improves the management quality and reduces the logistics cost compared with extensive outsourcing operations. In addition, Cubyn has reached a cooperation with Kuaicang, becoming the first logistics provider in France to adopt an e-commerce automated unmanned warehousing solution, with the help of the combination of robot hardware and software algorithms, shortening the picking path of goods and further improving picking efficiency.

based on the above practices, Cubyn's logistics speed is 2.3 times faster than the market average, and the on-time delivery rate of packages is 97.7%, which is no less than that of Amazon and other platform logistics parties.

In the European e-commerce market that Cubyn is facing, consumers are particularly environmentally conscious and have higher requirements for sustainability. In this regard, Cubyn uses all recyclable materials for the packaging of goods, reduces the use of plastic, and minimizes the porosity of the packaging through data calculations to avoid over-packaging. For the delivery process, Cubyn plans to adopt zero-emission methods such as trams and bicycles.

Cubyn has been on the list for several years in the LaFrenchTech120 (120 most promising startups) project led by French President Emmanuel Macron, and is the only logistics company on the list. For the future, Cubyn will continue to work towards sustainable logistics and further reduce carbon emissions based on the actual demand of the European market.
